Warranty Information
At Union Car Spares, we stand by the quality of our workmanship and the parts we supply. While we aim to deliver the best service possible, it’s also important to be upfront about how our warranties work.
Workmanship Guarantee
We take pride in what we do. All work carried out in our workshop is backed by a workmanship guarantee. If something’s not right due to the way it was installed or fitted by our team, we’ll make it right — simple as that.
Parts and Accessories
Many of the parts and accessories we install come with manufacturer warranties. These vary depending on the brand and product. If there’s a warranty offered, we’ll let you know what it covers and how long it lasts at the time of purchase or installation.
If a warranty applies, it will be provided to you in writing. If you don’t receive anything specific, it’s safe to assume the part isn’t covered beyond the standard protections under New Zealand law.
What the Law Covers
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA), you’re entitled to goods and services that are:
- Fit for purpose
- Of acceptable quality
- Provided with reasonable care and skill
These protections apply automatically when you're buying products or services for personal use.
Things to Note
- We do not guarantee that every product will be fit for your specific purpose. If you’re unsure, always ask our team — we’re happy to help you figure out what will suit your vehicle best.
- If you're using products or services for business or commercial purposes, different rules may apply and the CGA may not cover you in the same way.
- Outside of CGA protections, any additional warranties must be provided in writing to be valid.
